Today is Un po’ di pepe’s secondo bloghiversario-2nd anniversary of blogging! I can’t believe 2 years has already gone by since I hit the big blue PUBLISH button for the first time.
In honour of the bloghiversario, last week I finally made my most viewed post June 2014’s ‘Italiano per Ristoranti~How to pronounce your menù’ into a PDF that is downloadable from the blog. It only took 22 months to get it done, but as my Mamma says ‘Meglio tardi che mai’-better late than never! Click on the link in red and the PDF is available at the end of the post. I’m thinking of adding more content and turning this into an ebook available on Amazon. Hopefully it won’t take me another 22 months to do that! Another exciting thing that happened in year 2 of blogging was receiving a Cannolo Award.
One more thing I will do in honour of the bloghiversario is post a link to my first real post ‘Il Gigante~Michelangelo’s David’.
Stay tuned for more ‘cose interessanti’- interesting stuff in year 3 including a series on wines of Puglia. In August I will be reading at the AICW (Association of Italian Canadian Writers) Conference in Padula and blogging from there. Please leave a comment if there is something you’d like to read more about. Grazie a tutti i miei lettori, Cristina
Congratulations to you! I always look forward to reading your posts, and am so glad you are having success with your adventure. Keep going!
Grazie Signora Martini!
Congratulazioni for your secondo bloghiversario AND your award! Your posts are so much fun to read and all of your images are wonderful.
Grazie Marianna! I hope to write a few more art related posts in the next year. Ciao, Cristina

Grazie Margie! I’m looking forward to the next year too. Wish I had more time as I’m having so much fun with this I wish I could write more often. ciao, Cristina
Congratulations! Always a good read thank u 🙂
Grazie Rosa! Thanks for being such a loyal reader. Ciao, Cristina
Auguri!!!! Your “Italiano per ristoranti” is fabulous – perhaps the best presentation of beginning Italian sounds that I have seen, and I have dozens of books for studying Italian. The organization, type set, spacing and bolding are perfect!!!! Please do add to it!! I teach an Italian for Travelers class and have yet to find a really good book to use. Most are simply overwhelming. I would love to see what you could do. I will definitely use your menu pages in my class and direct students to your blog. Grazie!!
Grazie Bonnie! Thanks for the positive feedback! More motivation to get my ebook done. This blog post actually started as a 15 minute assignment for an instructional skills workshop. I had 10 minutes to teach something and 5 minutes to evaluate. Reading the menu was the evaluation! It was a lot shorter, but this is where it all started! Ciao, Cristina
Congratulations! I always enjoy reading your posts, and I learn a lot as well. Thank you.
Grazie Claire! Thanks for your support, Cristina
Congratulations! I love reading your blog – especially the ones surrounding food. Your entries are like a mini-holiday to Italy. Keep up the wonderful work and thanks for all the inspiration and memories 🙂
Grazie Laura! Thank you too, for all the inspiration! Baci, Cristina
Well done Cristina. We look forward to many more blogs
